That's right, this week our little girl is about 5 1/2 inches, or about the size of an ear of corn, and, speaking of ears, she can finally hear us now. So, go ahead Bobby and talk to her now. She will be able to understand you! This is also the week that "ossification" occurs. This means that the baby's bones are beginning to harden. The nerves are making more connections, and she is developing her sense of smell, taste, sight and hearing. They also say that starting this week, no more sleeping on my back!! This is going to be hard! I usually sleep face first in my pillow, and well, I haven't done that since we found out we were expecting, but I have been sleeping on my back. Now time for another sleeping change. This should be interesting. Other than not fitting in my clothes, I've been feeling great and growing steadily.
