12 weeks- Feeling "peachy"!

This week the baby is about the size of a peach. I'm not really sure why, but every medical website I read tells me that a fetus at week 12 is only 6 cm from crown to rump....but last week when I got my sonogram (at 11 weeks) the baby was 9 cm from crown to rump. Hmmmm...... maybe I'm further than they say. My due date changes every month anyways! We had daddy's 30th birthday party this weekend (and also celebrated the anniversary of 5 wonderful years together!) I rented out a campsite with 3 pre-made tents and a bunch of us camped out. We roasted hot dogs, s'mores, and grilled. It was so much fun. We even had an air mattress to sleep on. Now that's my type of camping! I'm still not feeling so hot in the evenings. "Night sickness" has set in. Pickles are always great, but unfortunately, chicken is NOT! Poor Ryan tries to cook me dinner, and then I can't even eat it! I'm waiting patiently for my exhaustion to decrease. I'm told I should start getting my energy back in the next few weeks. We shall see! There is also a lot going on inside of me! This week the baby is squinting and opening and closing it's mouth. If you poke my belly, the baby responds and moves around, but I can't feel it yet. This week is also the time when I start to "show". They say the uterus is now too big to fit in my pelvis, so now it is popping out. I must admit....I had to try the "rubber band around the button trick" on my jeans. I can't wait for the time when I look pregnant...and not "puffy!" :) I'm not worried though. Our little miracle is SOOO worth it!
