Week 15- Our apple- No, not like Gwenyth Paltrow's

This week it is said that the baby is the size of a "large apple". The baby is about 4 1/2 inches long from head to rump and weighs about 2 to 3 ounces. The baby is starting to grow hair on it's eyebrows, eyelashes, and on the top of the head now. Hopefully we're growing a little toehead inside of me! By the 15th week of pregnancy, the ears should have reached their permanent position on the side of the head, and the eyes are moving where they belong on the front of the face. The skin is still developing, but is still thin enough to see through, and the baby is getting taste buds. And, although the baby's eyes are going to be closed for a while, it can now sense light and will even cover it's face when it sees bright light. They say that this week the baby can even get the hiccups because it is swallowing the amniotic fluid so much. The baby is really moving around now, and according to books I've been reading, it can even do a somersault inside of me now! How funny is that?! Each week there is so much going on and it is changing so much! I'm feeling well, but am becoming more and more uncomfortable in normal clothes. It won't be long now before I need to just give in and start shopping for maternity clothes! :)
