28 weeks- Our little sugar-coated churro!
Oh my goodness!! It's official! We are in the third trimester. The countdown is officially on. It is so hard to believe that I am in the last third of this pregnancy. It seems to be just flying by lately. My belly is growing more and more every day, and we are starting to feel like it's time to accomplish some things. New with baby- This week, her eyes are now officially open and she can blink. She has begun R.E.M. during sleep as well, and boy does she like to sleep...during the day. We can't say the same for night time. She loves to keep mommy awake at night. Let's hope this isn't the case after she comes out! Her eyes also have color now. We're assuming they will be blue, since everyone in the family has blue eyes, and we can't wait to see them! She is about 15 inches long now and weighs about 2 1/4 pounds. I have my glucose test this week, as well as my Rogam shot. This shot is given to me because our blood types are different (thanks to daddy!) I am O-negative, and the baby is possibly O-positive since Ryan is. Since our blood cannot mix (mine can't harm the baby, but hers can to mine), I need to get a shot to form anti-bodies against her blood in case they mix during delivery. Scary, but the dr says that it is very common. There are just so many things I never knew. We are beginning our baby care classes soon and starting to get prepared for our little love bug.
