Daddy and I went back a second time to try again!
Holy moly! So this week, little Lola Mae is the size of a loaf of bread!! That seems a little large to me, but we actually went to get a 4-d ultra sound and they said she is over 15 inches long and weighs about 3 pounds. There we are in the picture with Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Richard spelling out her name in front of the place. This week, her brain can now control her breathing, and she is able to cough, and suck when she wants to. We learned she loves to do this already, because when we tried to see our little angel, she held her hands up to her face and sucked on her fingers the whole time. We went on Friday, and she would not cooperate. She just did not want us to see her pretty little face. So, back we went on Saturday to see if she would move (me in the bottom picture). Unfortunately, she was just too comfy in that spot and wouldn't budge. She is almost doing a backbend in order to hide her face from us. This means we get to go back a third time when mommy comes home from Iowa. I leave on Monday and am so excited to see all of the family. I can't wait for Lola to get to hear everyone's voices and show them how big she is getting. We are sure going to miss daddy, but he is staying home to get the nursery ready! We can't wait to see it. We went to home depot today to get the paint, and are all ready to rock and roll. We've also begun getting goodies from family and friends. We received our travel bath, bibs and hangers from Vicky, and a thermometer from cousins Jessica and Mike. Fiona, Iris, and Erin were kind enough to pass down their adorable outfits that they no longer fit into as well. Also, aunt Casey sent out the beautiful invites to the shower. We are so blessed to have such great friends and family surrounding us with love and support during this exciting time. It's hard to believe we only have about 10 weeks left.
